What: Baltimore County Executive Jim Smith, UMBC President Dr. Freeman Hrabowski, and Maryland Clean Energy Center Executive Director Kathy Magruder will open Maryland's first Clean Energy Technology Incubator at UMBC, introduce the first tenants, and announce County funding to support an Entrepreneur in Residence.
The Clean Energy Technology Incubator promotes entrepreneurship and job creation in industries that will impact the use of alternative energy sources. Areas of interest include renewable energy, biofuels, smart grid technologies, electric vehicles, cybersecurity, and energy policy.
