Four new tenants are joining the John G. Rangos Building at 855 North Wolfe St, a research office property at The Science + Technology Park at Johns Hopkins in Baltimore.

Personal Genome Diagnostics, a cancer diagnostics company focused on personalized medicine; and Inostics, a German diagnostics company focused on improving cancer drug development, are pushing the building's occupancy to more than 80 percent.

In addition, new retail tenants will include Teavolve, a minority-owned café offering gourmet tea and lite fare; and Cuban Revolution, a Cuban fusion eatery slated to open in April 2012.

The four new tenants were introduced as part of the Maryland Economic Development Commission's (MEDC) announcement that it had developed a five-year strategic economic development plan, Charting Maryland's Economic Path: Discovery, Diversity & Opportunity.

As citybiz real estate reported earlier this week, a subsidiary of Forest City Enterprises, Inc. (NYSE: FCEA and FCEB) closed a 10-year, $70 million non-recourse mortgage loan on the building. AXA Equitable Life Insurance Company, through its advisor Quadrant Real Estate Advisors, provided the financing, which carries a fixed interest rate of less than 6.0 percent and replaced the prior $61 million construction loan.
