The Prime Rib has signed a lease to occupy about 10,000 square feet at the Maryland Live! Casino, the new $500 million gaming, retail and entertainment destination being developed by The Cordish Companies in Anne Arundel Co., MD.
The Prime Rib Restaurant first opened in Baltimore in 1965. Designed by brothers Buzz and Nick Beler to evoke the supper clubs of 1940's Manhattan - complete with a Piano Bar, The Prime Rib now has locations in Washington, DC, and Philadelphia - with all three restaurants earning top Steakhouse rankings by Zagat for their respective cities.
At Maryland Live!, The Prime Rib joins a lineup of restaurant brands that includes Chef Bobby Flay's Bobby's Burger Palace, The Cheesecake Factory and Baltimore landmark Phillips Seafood.
Maryland Live! Casino, with 4,750 slot machines and electronic table games, is scheduled to open in June 2012, pending approval from the Maryland State Lottery Agency.
