Tom Burns
Tom Burns has joined Transwestern as Senior Vice President in the Columbia, Maryland office, focusing on brokerage and development in the Mid-Atlantic region, with a concentration in the Baltimore metropolitan area, suburban Maryland, and the surrounding Washington, D.C. metro area.
Burns specializes in leasing and sales and has more than 35 years of commercial real estate experience representing tenants, landlords, investors and developers.
Prior to joining Transwestern, Burns was President of Corporate Facility Advisors (CORFAC International) and is a long-standing member of the Board of Directors of CORFAC International, having served from 1989-2002.
Burns served as a member of the Board of Directors of King Sturge/CORFAC International from 1994-1998. From 1989-1990, he was president of the Maryland/Washington chapter of the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors (SIOR), a member of the National Admissions Committee of SIOR from 1993-1996, and was on the SIOR National Board of Directors from 1991-1994. He was also a member of the National Association of Industrial and Office Parks Advisory Council from 1991-1992.
